Harold E. "Jack" Moody

Paradise~ Harold E. “Jack” Moody, 92, went to be with our Lord on Monday, March 15, 2021 in Bridgeport.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2021 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial to follow in Paradise Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Rev. Gerald Epperson will officiate. Pallbearers are to include Joshua Moody, Matthew Moody, Todd Meadows, Jarrett Blessing, Tommy Blessing, and Bubba Blessing. Honorary Pallbearers are Merlin Remmele and Bill Read.

Jack was born on March 5, 1929 to Loyd and Eva (Read) Moody in Paradise, Texas. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Jean Moody on April 1, 1950 in Fort Worth, Texas. They spent 56 wonderful years together until her passing in 2007. He was a Veteran and proudly served our country in the United States Army; and was a retired machinist who worked for Decatur Machine Services for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jean Moody; and his sister, Carolyn Manning.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son Mark Moody and wife Teresa of Paradise; 3 grandchildren, Joshua Moody and wife Deana of Phoenix, Arizona, Matthew Moody and wife Shanna of Houston, and Bethany Moody of Dallas; his great-grandchildren, Mattie Gayle, Austin, and Jayden; and his great-great grandson, Nathan; his special friend, Eula Fay Rowe; his sisters, Jannie Lou Meadows and husband Melvin, and Betty Livengood all of Cottondale; his brother-in-law, Marvin Schkade of Farmersville; numerous extended family members, and a host of friends and neighbors.
