Hazel Marie Arias

Funeral is 10 a.m. Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Living Word Assembly of God in Alvord with a 3 p.m. graveside service in Oaklawn Memorial Park in Athens. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Bro. Royce Ruddick will officiate. Pallbearers are Breen Harlan, Brandon Pickett, Michael Witham, Justin Coon, Kenny Harlan, and Keith Harlan.

Hazel was born on November 3, 1924 to Jim and Ida (Overman) Marriott in Raven Den Springs, Arkansas. She was united in marriage to Joe Arias. Hazel was President of Keller Oaks Red Hat Club and President of Keller Oaks Garden Club. She was also a member of Living Word Assembly of God.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe; her daughter, Debbie Fields; her great granddaughters, Paige Nicole Witham and Candice Fields; her brother, William Baker; and her sister, Helen Genola and husband James.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Carolyn Schroder and husband Dick of Alvord and Eleanor Pickett of Saginaw; her sons, Tommy Harlan and wife Ann of Amarillo, Kenny Harlan and wife Pat of Boyd, and David Harlan and wife Dubbi of North Richland Hills; 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; other family members and a host of friends.
