Meridian ~ Hazel Juanita "Nita" LeFors, 81, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, October 23, 2011 in Meridian, Mississippi.

Funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Chapel in Boyd with burial in Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 5-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and one hour before the service.

Nita was born on April 14, 1930 to Virgil and Julie (Hewitt) Green. She was a native of Texas. Nita was married to Bernie LeFors. She was a member of Northside Church of Christ and a Red Cross water safety instructor.

Nita was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Shirley Dunaway.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Bernie LeFors of Meridian, Mississippi; her daughter, Gigi Williams and husband John of Brandon, Mississippi; her sons, Alan LeFors of Tulsa, Oklahoma and David LeFors and wife Carla of Littleton, Colorado; her three grandchildren, Dustin LeFors and wife Elizabeth of the U.S. Army, Destin, Florida, Jacob Key a senior at University of Southern Mississippi, and Jeremiah Williams of Brandon, Mississippi; her two step grandchildren, Ronald Ohnhaus and wife Adrienne and Laura Hubbell and husband Hercules both of Poulsbo, Washington; her four step great grandchildren; her sister, Genevia Cordova of Fort Garland, Colorado; two brothers, Harrell Green of Aurora and Darrell Green of Rhome; other family members and a host of friends.
