Bridgeport~ Helen Casillas, 66, went to be with our Lord Saturday, June 1, 2019 in Bridgeport.
Funeral mass is 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2019, at St. John The Baptizer Catholic Church. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. at Hawkins Funeral Home Bridgeport with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Father Rheean will officiate. Lectors are JoAnn Mann, Elizabeth Martinez McAlpin, and Cynthia Espitia. Pallbearers are Albert Allegria, Charley Casillas Jr., Joseph Morelas, Richard Alcaraz, Jr., Robert Gonzales, Dennis Salas III, and Marty Casillas.
Helen was born on August 27, 1952 to Martin and Ruth (Valasquez) Casillas. She was a waitress at the Casillas Restaurant.
She was preceded in death by her father, Martin Casillas; her sister, Juanita Salas; her brother, David Casillas; and her brother in law, Jessie Martinez.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her mother, Ruth Casillas of Bridgeport; her sisters, Mary Lou Martinez of Fort Worth, Josie Morales and husband Joe of Fort Worth, Ida Gonzales and husband Santos of Alvarado, and Pauline Ramos and husband Robert of Fort Worth; her brothers, Marty Casillas, Jr. and wife Mary Helen of Bridgeport, and Charley Casillas and wife Cecilia of Fort Worth; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
