Helen Tidwell Clark

Bridgeport~ Helen Tidwell Clark, 86, went to be with our Lord Sunday, April 10, 2022 in Decatur.

Graveside service is 2 PM Friday at Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the cemetery.

Helen was born on December 16, 1935 to Johnny and Julie (Covey) Mitchell in Seymour. She was united in marriage to Jimmy Clark on April 27, 1996 in Bridgeport. Helen worked as an inspector for Lockheed-Martin for 20 years. She was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, JD Clark; 2 sons, Randy and Tony Tidwell; and her granddaughter, Candace Jernigan Snyder.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Peggy Jernigan of Rhome; 2 sons, Larry Tidwell and wife Susan of New Braunfels, and Dennis Tidwell and wife Leesa of Chico; 8 grandchildren, Chris, Kelly, Randy, Steven, Jason, Whitney, Maegan, and Shelbi; 10 great-grandchildren; her brother, Melvin Mitchell; her sister, Nancy Meadows; other relatives and a host of friends.
