Helen Valeta (Caster) Maldonado

Decatur ~ Helen Valeta Maldonado, 86, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, April 1, 2020 in Decatur.

Graveside service will be Private. Open visitation is 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Mark Duncan will officiate.

Helen was born June 1, 1933 to John Daniel and Ruby Fredonia (Wall) Caster in Irving, Texas. She was united in marriage November 21, 1961 to Edward Ramiro Maldonado in College Station, Texas. Helen was a Corrections officer for over 18 years and a member of Decatur Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Ramiro Maldonado.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Laura Martin of Decatur and Erika Hollingsworth and husband Stephen of Decatur; her grandchildren, Daniel Martin of Ft.Worth and Taylor Hollingsworth of Decatur; her great grandchildren, Serenity, Brantlee, Jude, and Ember; her brother, J.Dan Caster; her nephews, Quintin and Donald Caster; extended family and a host of friends.
