Helen Louise Potts

Bridgeport ~ Helen Louise Potts, 91, an office administrator, went to be with our Lord Friday, November 20, 2015 in Bridgeport.

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 23, 2015 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in West Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Rev. David Kelly will officiate. Pallbearers include Reese Reed, Steven Potts, Brannon Potts, Jonathan Potts, Bryant Potts, and Greg Potts.

Helen was born on February 27, 1924 to James and Alta (Moody) Marr in Electra, Texas. She was united in marriage to Sam Potts on December 22, 1945 in Fort Worth. Helen worked as an office administrator for Bridgeport Hospital. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bridgeport.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her mother, Jodi McClure; her husband, Sam Potts; her son, Chris Potts; her granddaughter, Lori Potts; her grandson, Chad Potts; her brother, J.B. Marr; and her sister, Julia Marr.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Gary Potts and wife Linda of Paradise, Larry Potts and wife Beverly of Bridgeport, Joe Potts and wife Kathy of Weatherford, Robbie Potts and wife Debra of Binger, Oklahoma, Kyle Potts and wife Tina of Weatherford; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 4 great- great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
