Paradise ~ Helen May Withey, 79, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Thursday, October 18, 2012 in Decatur.
Funeral is 10 a.m. Saturday, October 20th at First United Methodist Church in Paradise with burial in Paradise Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home.
Pastor Patti Mahaffey will officiate. Pallbearers include Jimmy Isaacs, Bruce Withey, James Withey, and Grayson Rowan.
Helen was born on November 15, 1932 to James and Agnes (Gordon) Howell in Wheeler County, Texas. She was united in marriage to James Withey.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2009; her brothers, Bobby Ray, Dayton, Buddy, Jackie, and A.J. Howell; and her sisters, Odessa, Jean, and Marie Howell.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, James (JR) Withey of Alex, Oklahoma, Bobby Withey and wife Diane of California, and Bruce Withey of Paradise; her daughters, Ruthie Goldman and husband Gene of Alex, Oklahoma, Doris Miears of Paradise, Patricia Dugan and husband Walter of Paradise; 13 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; her sister, Ruth Bivens of Jacksboro; other family members and a host of friends.
