PARADISE -- Henry E. Roe, 93, retired from Bridgeport Water Department, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2008 in Paradise.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Chapel. Burial: West Bridgeport Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Monday. Rev. Joey Vick will officiate. Pallbearers will be Barbara Mullins, Connie Teter, Wanda Hobbs, Kim Mercer, Lynn Misnick, and Vicki Stokes. Honorary pallbearers will be Red Buck and Jana Mosley.
Henry was born on March 4, 1915 in Bridgeport, the son of Joseph Henry and Mary Elizabeth (Brown) Roe.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Raymond and Will Roe.
Left behind to cherish his memories are: his daughter, Sherri Strickland and husband Don of Paradise; his sons, Henry Roe and wife Karen of Valley Mills, Jimmy Roe and wife Carol of Parachute, Colorado; 9 grandchildren: Heath, Melody, Courtney, Felishia, Chelsey, David, Brandy, Amanda, and Cody; 7 great grandchildren: Calder, Haley, McKenzie, Addison, Brittany, Briana, and Brook; and a host of friends.
