Crowley ~ Herbert Pennington Phillips, 83, a retired minister, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, December 25th, 2019 in Grapevine.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 a.m., Rosary at 9:30 a.m. Monday December 30th, 2019, at the Saint Francis Village Catholic Church in Crowley, Texas, with burial in Chico Cemetery.
Herbert was born in Fort Worth, Texas on June 26th, 1936 to Roscoe Pennington and Elsie (Garrett) Phillips. He was united in marriage to Ray Ellen Fields in 1979 in Bedford, Texas. Herbert held careers in advertising and was retired from the ministry. He worked for the Modern Art Museum in Fort Worth for 13 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 40 years, Ray Ellen Phillips, his sons, John Phillips and wife Jerre; Paul Phillips and wife Terri, Stephen Phillips and wife Elizabeth; step-son, Richard Kittrell and wife Nancy; step-daughter, Cynthia Bell, his grandchildren, Scott Phillips and wife Lauren Marie of Scott, David Phillips, Matthew Phillips, Kyle Phillips and Kristin Phillips; and great grandchild, Zoey Ann Marie Phillips.
