Decatur: Herbert "Bee Man" Taylor, 67, went to be with our Lord, Sunday, May 10, 2009 in Decatur.

Funeral service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 13th at the Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Billy Vernon Neal, Jr. officiating. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Sycamore Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Mark Fox, Nathan Ruddick, Bruce Neal, Danny Taylor, Shawn Phillips, Jason Phillips and Charles Ward.

Herbert was born on September 2, 1941 in Pickett County, Tennessee. He was a self-employed horse trader and a member of the Kentucky Town Baptist Church in Whitewright, Texas.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his sisters, Claudine Phillips of Killeen, Texas; Betty Knight of Tioga, Texas; Billie Jean Neal and husband, Billy Vernon, Sr.; Johnnie Ward and husband, Charles both of Bells, Texas; brother Charles Taylor and wife, Sylvia of Decatur; sister-in-Law, Nona Taylor of Decatur; brother-in-law of Perry Chambers of Bells, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

Herbert is preceded in death by his parents, brother, James Malton Taylor, 2 sisters, Jessie Faye Carson and Robbie Frances Chambers.
