Chico ~ Herman Wallie Kittrell Sr., 64, went to be with our Lord Sunday, October 14, 2018, in Dallas

Graveside service is 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2018, at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Rev. James O. Kittrell will officiate. Pallbearers include Herman Kittrell Jr, David Kittrell, CJ Kittrell, James Kittrell, Larry Don Kittrell, and Charles Kittrell.

Herman was born on April 25, 1954, to James and Letha May (Busby) Kittrell in Spur, Texas. He was united in marriage to Joann Sorrels on January 21, 1972, in Gainesville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Syvlie Kittrell, Edith Kittrell, Goldie Glidewell, Ruth Robinson, and Sue Cavitt; his brothers, Clarence Kittrell and Larry Kittrell.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 46 years, Joann Kittrell of Chico; his daughters, Wanda Truax and husband James of Bowie, and Misty Campbell and husband Robbie of Runaway Bay; his sons, Herman Kittrell Jr. of Decatur, David Kittrell and wife Rochelle of Chico, C.J. Kittrell and Lindsey Elliott of Paradise, James Kittrell and wife Autumn of Bridgeport, Larry Don Kittrell of Chico, and Charles Kittrell and wife Christal of Bridgeport; 24 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; his brother, James Kittrell of Montague; his sisters, Bonnie Dubose and husband Norman, Carolyn Hogan of Marietta, Oklahoma, and Gelema Kittrell of Chico; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
