Decatur ~ Herman Odell Pryor, 92, a retired truck driver, went to be with our Lord Thursday, August 8, 2019 in Decatur.
Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 12, 2019 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Decatur with burial in Bethel Cemetery
Rev. Louis Horton will officiate. Pallbearers include David King, Johnny Wall, Joe Brown, Rocky Pryor, Gary Pryor, and Ethan Pryor.
Herman was born on June 5, 1927 to Charles Barnes and Eula Mae (Venus) Pryor in Detroit, Texas. He was united in marriage to Kaleta May Simpson on July 19, 1947 in Detroit. Herman was a member of the Bell Baptist Church in Decatur. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his 3 sons, Tommy Pryor, Jerry Wade Pryor, and Ray Pryor; his 2 grandchildren, Clint Brown, and Tracie Pryor.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 72 years, Kaleta Pryor of Decatur; his sons, Gary Pryor of Chico, Larry Pryor and wife Darlene of Fort Worth, and Rocky Pryor of Decatur; his daughters, Barbara Cansler and husband Kenneth of Chico, Charlotte King and husband David of Alvord; and Susan Wall and husband Johnny of Decatur; his 15 grandchildren; his numerous great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
