Boyd ~ Howard Oliver Reed, 80, a mechanic, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, October 27, 2020 in Boyd.

Funeral is 10:30 AM Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd with burial at 1:30 PM at Greenwood Memorial Park. Family will receive friends 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.

Bro. Fred Raney will officiate. Pallbearers include Donald Bean, Mike Reed, Craig Reed, Mark Sheer, Eddie Bean, and Willie Bean.

Howard was born on May 27, 1940 to Albert Oliver and Mary Ann (Nelson) Reed in Paducah, Texas. He was united in marriage to Laura Bean on December 12, 1996 in Fort Worth. Howard enjoyed working on cars, racing, working around the house, picking cactus, planting flowers, and playing the lottery. He was the owner and operator of Howard Mechanic.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Laura Reed of Boyd; 3 sons, Mike Reed of Dallas, Tracy Reed and Craig Reed of Saginaw; daughter, Rhonda Michie of Arlington; sister, Dorothy Bean of Fort Worth; brother-in-law, Donald Bean of Fort Worth; 2 nieces, Martha Cheek of Florida and Jodie Ann Spivey of Mansfield; nephew, Howard Wayne Cook; 2 granddaughters, Chelsea Reed of Waco, and Shara Michie of Arlington; great-granddaughter, Kimber of Arlington; 7 friends, Peggy Reed of Springtown, Deloris Bean of Boyd, Mark Shear of Newark, Ronnie Williams, Jim Williams, Ron Smith, and Terry Vaughn all of Boyd; extended family and a host of friends.
