Runaway Bay ~ Hugh Franklin (Mac) McCrary, 82, went to be with our Lord and Savior Friday, February 17, 2017 in Decatur.

Funeral is 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Trinity Fellowship Church. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior.

Pastor Frankie Garcia will officiate. Pallbearers include Don Alexander, Cody Gillispie, Bill Austin, Vondel Floyd, Chris Hutchings and Don Hutchings.

Mac was born on March 9, 1934 in Ensley, Alabama to Rexford Allen and Goldie (Ray) McCrary.

Mac was a pilot in the United States Air Force. He retired after 22 years of service. Upon retiring Mac went on to become a District Manager for Hollis Jones Dairy Queens, owned and operated three restaurants one in Bridgeport, Decatur, and Runaway Bay. Mac had a rental business and later became a Real Estate Agent in the Runaway Bay Area. He was a member of the Trinity Fellowship Church in Decatur, Texas. Mac met and married the love of his life, a wee Scottish Lass, Isabel from Johnstone, Scotland. Together they enjoyed traveling throughout Europe. Mac was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He will be missed by everyone more than words will ever be able to express.
