Humberto nació el 25 de marzo de 1973 a sus padres Antonio y Aurelia (Sotelo) Vargas en Jerez, Zacatecas, Mexico. Se unio en matrimonio con Leticia Chavez el 10 de octubre de 1998 en Jerez, Zacatecas. Fue un hijo, hermano, tio, primo, y amigo amado a muchos que lo extrañaran.

Los que se quedan atrás para atesorar su memoria son su esposa, Leticia Vargas de Decatur; sus hijas, Leslie y Adda Vargas de Decatur; sus hijos, Carlos y Juan Antonio Vargas de Decatur; sus hermanos, Gerardo, Jose Luis Vargas de Colorado, Felipe Vargas de Bridgeport y Sergio Vargas de Mexico; sus hermanas, Maricela Vargas de Tennesee, e Irma Vargas de Mexico; famlia extendida, y amigos.

Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Decatur with burial at Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends6-8 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m.

Father Reehan will officiate. Pallbearers include Carlos Vargas, Juan Antonio Vargas, Leslie Vargas, Herardo Vargas, Jose Luis Vargas, Felipe Vargas, and Sergio Vargas.

Humberto was born on March 25, 1973 to Antonio and Aurelia (Sotelo) Vargas in Jerez, Zacatecas, Mexico. He was united in marriage to Leticia Chavez on October 10, 1998 in Jerez, Zacatecas. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many that will miss him.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Leticia Vargas of Decatur; his daughters, Leslie y Aida Vargas of Decatur; his sons, Carlos and Juan Antonio Vargas of Decatur; his brothers, Gerardo, Jose Luis Vargas of Colorado, Felipe Vargas of Bridgeport and Sergio Vargas of Mexico; his sisters, Maricela Vargas of Tennesee, and Irma Vargas of Mexico; extended family and a host of friends.
