Greenwood: Ila Mae Mote, 70, went to be with our Lord, Thursday, March 8, 2012 in Decatur, Texas.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday, March 10th at Greenwood Baptist Church with Bro. Tracy Epting officiating. Interment: Greenwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include Blake Sandford, Eric Fletcher, Morris Berend, Russell McClure, Eddie Ray Griffith, Dr. Hal Reese, Scott Weber and Keith Weber. Honorary pallbearers include Neal Fortenberry, A.C. Griffin, Brian Moore, and Joe Bert Roberts.
Ila Mae was born May 25, 1941 in San Francisco, California to George Dink and Iva Mae (Arterberry) Florida. She was united in marriage to Nim Rodney Mote on March 18, 1960 at Greenwood Baptist Church.
Ila Mae retired as secretary from the Decatur Mini Warehouse Storage Building and was a lifelong member of the Greenwood Baptist Church.
Left behind to cherish her memory are husband of 52 years, Rodney Mote; daughter, Elaine Jackson and husband Dave both of Greenwood; four grandchildren, Andrew Taylor and wife Kim of Paradise, Barry Taylor and fiance' Meghan of Greenwood, Stephanie Jackson of Decatur, Amy Fogle and husband Michael of Decatur; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Melba Jane Weber and husband Ronnie of Bowie; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
