Paradise ~ Ima Jean Culwell Lewis, 86, a retired nurse, went to be with our Lord Friday, October 21, 2016 in Paradise.
Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in East Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Jason Hilliard will officiate. Pallbearers include Cody Romines, Melvin Clay, Lynn Clay, Roger Gentry, Noel Gilley, and Richard Murphy.
Ima Jean was born on November 14, 1929 to Loyd and Gretchen (Wright) Culwell in Wise County. She was united in marriage to Marlin “Harpo” Lewis who preceded her in death in August of 1969. Ima Jean was an LVN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marlin “Harpo” Lewis; her son, Butch Lewis; and her grandson, Christopher.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Jeanell Lewis Cole of Bridgeport, Jearene Hightower of Bridgeport, Sheree Lewis Jones and husband Tim of Dublin, Brenda Rice of Bridgeport; her grandchildren, Mike Rawlings, Meg Hilliard, Alicia James, and Ash Willmon; her great-grandchildren, Jerrit, Bailey, Preslee, Spencer, Kylee, Brooklynn, Parker and soon to arrive, Ande; her sister, Jo Carminati of Montague; other family members, and a host of friends.
