Imogene Hesteande

Decatur ~ Imogene Hesteande, 92, went to be with our Lord Saturday, April 18, 2020 in Decatur.

Graveside service is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Pleasant Grove #3 Cemetery. Open visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Monday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Paul Milligan will officiate.

Imogene was born on August 8, 1927 to Louie S. and Mamie (Forrester) Byford in Stephens County, Oklahoma. She was united in marriage to Alfred “Dude” Hesteande on January 18, 1947 in Denton County, Texas. Imogene retired from Dairy Queen as a longtime manager.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alfred “Dude” Hesteande; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Patsy Milligan and husband Paul of Woodland Park, Colorado; her son, Randy Hesteande and wife Carol of Lake Bridgeport; her grandchildren, Dawne Burgin, Lana Boner and husband Kenny, Shannon Hesteande and wife Krisha, Andy Milligan and wife Jessica, and Sarah Milligan; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; her sister, JoAnne Lambert; and numerous extended family and a host of friends.
