Ina Elizabeth (White) Askey

Decatur ~ Ina Elizabeth Askey, 81, went to be with our Lord Friday, May 21, 2021 in Flower Mound.

Funeral is 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur. Family will receive friends 6-8 PM Tuesday, May 25, at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Craig Brandon will officiate.

Ina was born on December 16, 1939 in Decatur. She married Jerry Wayne Askey on December 27, 1957 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Ina and Jerry were united in marriage for 55 years. Ina was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Askey; her parents, Susie and Bo White; and her brother, John E. White.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Jerry Askey, Jr. and wife Terri of Decatur; her daughter, Kathy Askey of Decatur; 4 grandchildren, Stephanie Guinn, Amber Fennewald and husband Ethan, Halie Askey, all of Decatur, Chance Davis and wife Traci of Austin; 4 great-grandchildren, Kelsey Guinn of Decatur, and Kaegen, Ansley, and Henley Davis, all of Austin; other relatives and a host of friends.
