Alvord: Ina Pearl Barclay, 90, a retired seamstress, went to be with her Lord Sunday, October 30, 2011 in Decatur, Texas.
Funeral service is 11.00 a.m. Wednesday, November 2, at the Alvord Church of Christ with burial in Alvord Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include Sam Phillips, Kenny Barclay, Casey Barclay, Jody Barclay, Curtis Barclay, Mason Barclay, and Kaleb Bryant.
Ina was born September 11, 1921 in Van Zandt County, Texas to Marvin Watson and Lois Etta (Bunch) Palmer. She was united in marriage to Pete Barclay on May 9, 1944 in Waxahachie, Texas. They were married 67 years at his death on October 10, 2010. Ina was also preceded in death by her parents; her son, Teddy Barclay; and her two brothers.
Ina was a member of the Alvord Church of Christ.
Left behind to cherish her memory are 2 daughters, Ann Phillips and husband Danny of Burleson, Texas and Betty Slovacek and husband Robert of Mabank, Texas; son, Michael Barclay and wife Toni of Alvord; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Jerry and Larry Palmer; daughter-in-law, Kay Barclay; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
