Inell Cassity Reed, 93, of Granbury died December 12, 2013, in her home near Granbury in Hood County, Texas.

Funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur, Texas with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. There will be no set family visitation.

Inell was born January 21, 1920 in Olden, Texas to Charles Alvin and Nancy Ann (Reeder) Cassity. She graduated from Decatur High School and married John Wesley Reed in Gainesville, Texas on August 15, 1945. They had been married 51 years and 4 months at his death in 1996. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Decatur and a homemaker. She worked alongside her husband in a farm and ranch business in Wise County until his death in 1996 . After his death, she relocated to Hood County to live with her sister Flora.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters, Flora Reed and Lora Cassity; brother, Jasper Doyle Cassity; and nephew, Thomas Trietsch.

Inell and John Wesley had no children, but loved their 11 nieces and nephews as their own.

Left behind to cherish her memory are nephews, Gene Reed and wife Ila Faye, Ray Reed and wife Barbara; Danny Reed and wife Kathleen; nieces, Kay Trietsch, Ann Osburn and husband Johnny; Shirley Haisler and husband J. B., Evelyn Yeatts and husband Clyde, Wanda Maltby, Sherrie Matlock and husband Tommy, Paula Emmett and husband Gary, Linda Guinn; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Mission Hospice and the caregivers who loved and cared for her for the last few years of her life.
