Paradise ~ Ita "PeeWee" Dethloff Petty, 81, an insurance claims representative went to be with our Lord Thursday, August 25, 2011 in Bridgeport.
Funeral is 2 p.m. Sunday at Hawkins Funeral Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in West Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Rev. Rocky Johnson will officiate. Pallbearers are Juan Mercer, Robert Stanfield, Rocky Cantrell, Wesley Cantrell, Leon Dethloff, and Kendall Dethloff.
PeeWee was born on September 3, 1929 to Jesse and Etta (Richardson) Dethloff in Bridgeport. She was a life long resident of Wise County and graduated from Bridgeport High School in 1945. PeeWee retired from Bridgeport Hospital in 1995. She was a member of the Carpenter Street Church of Christ.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Gewan Dethloff; and her sister, Mavis Jean Erwin.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Lindy Petty of Bridgeport, and Melissa Lamb and husband Troy of Paradise; her son, Jeff Petty and wife Sheira of Mansfield; grandchildren, Misty Landrith and husband Jerrod, Jason and Jessy Furtardo, Nathan and Stormi Lamb, Ashley, Reid, and Megan Petty; great grandchild, Colton Landrith; her sister, Doris "Bobby" Smith of Paradise; numerous extended family members, and a host of friends.
