Rhome: J. W. Scribner, 75, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, July 31, 2008 in Decatur.
Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Friday, August 1, 2008 in Oaklawn Cemetery with Reverend Gerre Joiner officiating. Family will receive friends from 11 to 12 a.m. prior to the service at the Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
J. W. was born July 2, 1934 in Grapevine, Texas, to John Willian and Alice Mae (Sutton) Scribner.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his brother, Leslie Allan Scribner of Southlake; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
J. W. is preceded in death by 7 brothers, 1 sister and his parents.
