Bridgeport ~ Jackie Matney, 74, a retired nurses aide, went to be with our Lord Thursday, August 4, 2011 in Decatur.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Hawkins Funeral Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in Jonestown Cemetery. Family will receive friends 1:00 p.m. Sunday before the service at the funeral home.
Melvin Castleberry will officiate. Pallbearers are David Brooks, Corky McDaniel, Coy McIlroy, Leif Payton, Chad McDaniel, and Michael Kinsey.
Jackie was born November 29, 1936 to Jack and Pansy (Beetler) Clements in Ada, Oklahoma. She married Jimmy Ray Matney on April 19, 1955 in Grand Prairie.
Jackie is preceded in death by her parents and her husband in 2009. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Randy M. Matney of Kerrville and Clyde G. Matney and wife Toni of Bridgeport; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; her sisters, Beverly Millsap, Connie Mills, Shirley Castaneda, and Susan Lancaster; her brother, Clifford Mills, Jr; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
