Jackie Glenn Sides

Chico~ Jackie Glenn Sides, 70, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, January 30, 2022 in Dallas.

Graveside will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 6, 2022 in Chico Cemetery in Chico, Texas. Family will receive friends 7:00-9:00 p.m. Friday, February 4, 2022 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Jackie was born on May 2, 1951 to Melvin Earl and Lawana June (Prater) Sides in Dallas, Texas. He worked in Petroleum Construction for many years. Jackie was united in marriage to Cathy Lynn Hesteande on June 3, 1978 in Slidell, Texas. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandchild, Barrett Sides; and his brother, Ralph Sides.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 43 years, Cathy Sides of Chico; his children, Melissa Berry and husband Travis of Arlington, Dusty Sides and wife Brandi of Chico, Lana Simmons and husband Josh of Alvord, and Toby Sides and wife Mary of Chico; his grandchildren, Amber, Miranda, Shawn, Jackie, Lilly, Addyson, Camryn, Emma, Jagar, Jaxan, Jatan, Heston, and Wilder; his brother, Dale Sides and wife Cathy of Winnsboro; his sister, Colleen Self and husband Buel of Chico; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
