Newark ~ Jackie A. Cross-Messier, 63, a retired jeweler, went to be with our Lord Friday, May 20, 2016 in Bridgeport.
Jackie was born on November 15, 1952 to E. C. and Charlotte (Colvin) Barber in Fort Worth, Texas. She was married to Alfred for 20 years. Jackie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Newark.
She was preceded in death by her father, E. C. Barber; her brother-in-law, Danny Higginbotham; and her grandparents.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 20 years, Alfred Messier of Newark; her daughters, Stacie Woods of North Carolina and Stephanie Warden of Decatur; her grandchildren, Cody, Emily, and Matthew; her great grandson, Wyatt; her mother, Charlotte McAllister of Avondale, Texas; her sister, Carolyn Higginbotham of Whitney, Texas; her brother, Brad Barber and wife Tammy of Mississippi; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
