Chico ~ James Edward Caldwell, 89, a retired key system technician for GTE, went to be with our Lord Saturday, November 30, 2019 at his home in Chico, Texas.
Funeral: 10:30 AM Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport with burial in Pleasant Grove #3 Cemetery. Family to receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 PM.
Dennis Pellet will officiate. Pallbearers will be Dale George, Tommy Brown, Jimmy Hopkins, Barry Luckie, Mike Luckie, and Gary Lee.
James was born June 20, 1930 to Wit and Jewell (Wallace) Caldwell in Chico, Texas. He was united in marriage to June King on May 26, 1950 in Fort Worth, Texas. James was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chico.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his 2 sons, Larry Caldwell and wife Debbie of Sanger, and Glynn Caldwell and wife Sherry of Chico; his daughter, Helen Capps and husband James of Chico; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; his brother, Charles Caldwell of Chico; his sister, Exa Luckie of Keller; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
