Boyd ~ Jimmy "Bird Dog" Wilson, 73, went to be with our Lord Monday, October 24, 2016 in Decatur.
Graveside service is 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Rev. Alan Six will officiate.
Jimmy was born on January 11, 1943 to Clarence and Cathafay (Harrison) Wilson in Decatur, Texas. He was united in marriage to Shirley Houser on August 6, 1961 in Newark. Jimmy retired from GM after 30 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and infant son, Randy Brent Wilson.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 55 years, Shirley Wilson of Boyd; his sons, Eric Wilson and wife Kelly of Bryson, Robbie Wilson and wife Mary of Boyd; his grandchildren, Kamron Lingor and wife Katie of Dumas, and Kiley Wilson of Bryson; his great-grandchildren, Blaise and Brooks Lingor; his sisters, LaRee Franke and husband John of Dallas, and Diane Nadolsky and husband Nicholas of Garland; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
