BOYD -- James Floyd Huddleston, 83, a retired furniture maker, died Thursday, March 15, 2007. Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church #2 in Keeter. Burial: Boyd Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Officiating: Rev. Dale Noska assisted by Rev. Robert Baker and Rev. James D. Arrington.

Pallbearers: Richard Newberry, Patrick Newberry, Gus Arrington, Keith Hulsey, Bud Pitts, and Shawn Burkett. Honorary pallbearers: The Pleasant Grove Men's Sunday School Class.

Floyd was born in Park Springs, Texas. He married Helen Ruth Early on February 5, 1960. He has lived in Boyd since 1960 and was a member of the Boyd Masonic Lodge #479 and the Order of Eastern Star, Boyd lodge #897.

Floyd was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Cecil Huddleston, and one sister, Opal Lough.

Survivors: Wife of 47 years, Helen Huddleston of Boyd; son, Bill Huddleston and wife, Pam of Decatur, of Decatur; grandchildren, Chad Huddleston and wife, Kristen of Decatur, Kimberly Huddleston of Decatur; sister, Juanita Boyett of Wichita Falls; and brother, Richard Huddleston of Chico.
