James Earl Idell

Wizard Wells ~ James Idell, 66, went to be with our Lord Sunday, April 19, 2020 in Wizard Wells.

Viewing will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, April 23, 2020 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

James was born on December 16, 1953 to Harold Richard and Evelyn Pauline (Hyatt) Idell in Decatur, Texas. He was united in marriage to Loneta Goode on June 3, 1972 in Flatwood. James retired as a supervisor in the petroleum production industry. He was known best for always being kind, pleasant, gracious, happy, and always having a smile on his face. James was his happiest when surrounded by his beloved wife and family. He was a member of Wizard Wells Baptist Church, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years, Loneta Idell of Wizard Wells; his daughters, Candi Idell of Davis OK, Cori Yankovich and husband Michael of West Point, NY, Lori Mangus and husband Rob of Bellevue; his son, James Earl Idell II and wife Leslie of Wizard Wells; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; his brother, Marvin Wayne Idell and wife Terri of New Fairview; his sister, Jeanne Idell Evans of Rhome; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
