James Rudy Koehler

James Rudy Koehler (Jim), 79, of Decatur, Texas passed away peacefully on September 11, 2021.

Jim was born to parents Rudy and Audrey (Arbing) Koehler, on February 6, 1942, in Houston, Texas. He graduated from Texas City High School and received a degree in Business Administration from North Texas State University. Jim began his career in construction and project management across the Texas based commercial building industry. Later, he was employed by the M.W. Kellogg Company

with similar management positions and was involved in project planning on international petrochemical plant construction with travel to Southeast Asia projects.

Jim is survived by his two children, Kristi (and Michael) Schaich of Irvine, California, and Scott (and Tara) Koehler of Decatur, Texas; his three grandchildren, Abby Taylor, Luke Koehler, and Russ Koehler. He also leaves behind a brother, Richard (and Inga) Koehler of Visby, Sweden, and two sisters, Judy Johnson of Henderson, Texas, Jan Jackman of Lindale, Texas; his niece and nephew; and the rest of his family and friends.

Jim was predeceased by his parents, Rudy and Audrey Koehler.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
