FORT WORTH -- James B. Lefler, 84, a retired land title examiner, died Saturday, July 28, 2007. Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday in Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel. Burial: Bethel Cemetery. Pallbearers: Brian Ford, Brad Swiger, Mohammed Ebrahim, Wayne Woolaver, Roger Johnson, and Bill Swiger. James was born January 17, 1923 to William and Ella Warne Lefler in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He joined the Army in May 1945 at the Amarillo Army Air Field Separation Base. James had great interest for geneology. Survivors: Wife, Lillie Lefler of Fort Worth; daughters, Joy Hoyos of Houston and Shirley Swiger and husband, Bill, of Arlington; sister, Lorraine Beadle of Pittsburgh, Pa.; grandson, Brad Swiger; granddaughters, Debbie Ford and Christina Ebrahim; and great-grandsons, Justin and Daniel.
