James “Moe” Sizemore 65, of Aledo, TX, went to be with the Lord, March 19, 2023.
Funeral is 2 PM Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Friendship Baptist Church in Boyd with burial at Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 PM Monday at the church.
Officiant is Terry Terry. Pallbearers include Bing Carmichael, Gene Lynch, Shannon Sizemore, Kasey Sizemore, Jimmy Sizemore, Justin Turner, and Tommy Throckmorton. Honorary Pallbearer Bruce Potts.
Moe was born June 25, 1957, in Dallas, TX, to Walter and Ruby Sizemore of Pleasant Grove, TX. Moe worked as a truck driver, from the age of 16, where he was known to everyone as “Sugarman”, until his retirement in 2015. Moe was a resident of Boyd, Tx for 35 years until he moved to Aledo in 2023. He is survived by the love of his life Sharon “Sassy” Sizemore of Aledo, who he met while hauling rock together. They committed their relationship to the Lord on June 23, 1990.
Moe is survived by his 3 children, Stephanie Jones, from his first wife Debra Wright and husband Joey Jones of Aledo, son Patrick Mullens and Casey Vassar of Boyd and daughter Kimberly and husband Tommy Throckmorton of Bowie. Moe was a proud Pappy to 7 grandchildren. Halee Jones of Peaster, Madi and Mylee Mullens of Boyd, Kaylynn Arnold of Coushatta, Louisiana, Lilly Throckmorton , Brooklyn Vassar and Brody Cox of Boyd.
Moe was the youngest boy of 10 children, survived by his sister Nita Denbow and husband Tommy of White Settlement, brother Michael Sizemore and wife Melissa of Springtown, sister Dessie Sizemore of White Settlement and baby sister Sharon Freeman and husband Wayne of Mesquite, along with the many nieces and nephews that come with having 9 siblings.
Moe was proceeded in death by his parents Walter and Ruby, brothers Gene Townsend, Walter Sizemore, Frank Sizemore, sisters Francis Soto, Nancy Miller and niece Rachelle Miller.
He leaves behind his lifelong friends Terry and Tonia “Stretch” Smith of Mt Vernon, Gene Lynch of Azle, Bing Carmichael of Chico, his church family at Friendship Baptist in Boyd and the many other friends that he acquired throughout the years.
