James Darrell Perry

Decatur ~ James Darrell Perry, 54, went to be with our Lord Saturday, January 1, 2022.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Decatur. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Pastor Jeff Little will officiate. Pallbearers include Tim Malone, Darrell Hicks, Shane Norman, Michael Eudy, Randy Malone, Colby Choat, and Alec Gissiner.

Darrell was born August 5, 1967 to James David and Linda Mae (Gissiner) Perry. He was united in marriage April 1, 1989 to Jennifer Lynn Smith in Arlington, Texas. Darrell owned and operated a record management company for many years. He was a member of Milestone Church and was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Linda Perry.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 32 years, Jennifer Perry of Decatur; his sons, James Clayton Perry of Decatur, and Bryce Perry of Boyd; his daughter, Abigal Perry of Decatur; his sister, Melissa Dunn of Ft. Worth; his uncle, Brian Gissiner; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
