Chico ~ James C. Reasoner, 77, an engineer, construction worker, farmer, and a successful investor went to be with our Lord Thursday, November 10, 2011 in Decatur.
Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 14, 2011 at Morris Memorial United Methodist Church in Chico with burial in Chico Cemetery. Family will receive friends 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
Rev. Rick Davis and Bro. Sam Starr will officiate. Pallbearers are Greg Reasoner, Clayton Green, Gary Green, Charles Romines, Wendell Wiggins, Randy Leak, Eddie Goodwin, and Trent Morrow. Honorary pallbearers are the Chico Mart Elite Coffee Drinkers.
James was born on June 6, 1934 to Clyde and Rena (Stalnker) Reasoner in Levelland, Texas. He was united in marriage to Mary Ann Watson on January 26, 1963 in Decatur. James served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Morris Memorial United Methodist Church and Chico Mart Elite Coffee Drinkers.
James was preceded in death by his parents.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 48 years, Mary Ann Reasoner of Chico; his daughter, Jan Romines and husband Glenn of Chico; his son, Dan Reasoner and wife Sonya of Haslet; his grandchildren, Janice, Josh, Taylor, and Tanner; his great granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann; his brother, Paul Reasoner and wife Yvonne of Bridgeport; his sisters, Peggy Corbell and husband Ronnie of Decatur and Patsy Smith and husband Andy of Mississippi; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
