James Randal Ross

Boyd ~ James R. Ross, 80, a retired railroad inspector, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, February 27, 2018 in Boyd.

Memorial is 6:00 p.m. Saturday at Hawkins Funeral Home chapel in Boyd. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Keith Pepper will officiate.  Honorary pallbearers are Cody Thompson, Randell Carlton, B.J. Hampton, Christian Tedrow, Brandon Hardee, Jayson Hardee, and Kevin O'Connor.

James was born October 12, 1937 to Nelson and Grace (Bourisaw) Ross in Old Mine, Missouri.  He was united in marriage to Judy Davis on April 28, 1972 in St. Louis, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and his brothers, Donnie Ross and Dennis Ross.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Roxanne Hampton and husband Bob of Boyd; his son, Virgil Thompson and wife Rita of Weatherford; his daughter, Julie Tedrow and husband Johnny of Rhome; his daughter, Millie Barnett and husband Bubba of Weatherford; his daughter, Kellie Hardee and fiancée B.J. Hile of Boyd; his grandchildren, Randell Carlton and wife Amanda, B.J. Hampton, Cody Thompson and wife Kaygen, Melody Dalton Thompson, Christian Tedrow, Zoie Tedrow, Tiffany Wehrenberg and husband Justin, Hannah Gourley, Sierra O'Connor and husband Kevin, Brandon Hardee, and Jayson Hardee and girlfriend Jamie Jeter; his great grandchildren, Robbie, K.C. Aaron, Faith, and one on the way; his sisters, Mary Kauffmann, Maggie Privette, Bert Lewis, Kathy Reary and husband Jim and Wilma Rolens and husband Art; his brothers, John Ross and wife Linda, Raymond Ross and wife Helen, Paul Ross and wife Arlene, and Clarence Ross; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
