Boyd ~ James (Pete) Sanders 79, went to be with hour Lord Sunday, December 22, 2013 in Boyd.

Memorial service is 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Boyd.

Speaker and life long friend will be Mr. Dick Gibson.

Pete was born on February 15, 1934 to Rondo and Avery Mae (Goode) Sanders in Grapevine, Texas. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and a retired ground mechanic for Delta Airlines.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Barbara Ann Sanders who passed away in 1998; his infant daughter, Genelore Sanders; his brothers, Cliff, Bob, John, Homer, Fred Sanders and his sisters, Wilma Sale and Faye Herrington, Annie Rodgers, Essie Pope, Ruby Taylor, Aubrey Martin, and Eunice Gibson.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Ronnie Sanders and wife Kelli of Boyd and Eddie Sanders and wife Brenda of San Angelo; his daughter, Janna Robinson and husband Bill of Boyd; his grandchildren, Nocona Mundy and husband Rainer of Cottondale, Sabrina Pyle and husband Bryan of Minot, North Dakota, Stacey Vaughn and husband Robert of Abilene and Casey Crouch and wife Chelsha of Corsicana; 11 great grandchildren; his sisters, Mary (Snooks) Goodwin of Decatur and Jennie Stowe of Hurst; other family members and a host of friends.
