James "Jimmy" Scott

Boyd~ James “Jimmy” Scott, 65, went to be with our Lord Thursday, September 17, 2020 in Fort Worth.

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd with burial in Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2020 at the funeral home.

Dr. Larry D. Pruitt will officiate. Pallbearers include Mike Sanders, Zack Scott, Patrick Pruitt, Woody Scott, Dr. Andrew Hoover, Robert Babb, Jesse Babb, and Martin Cabrera. Honorary pallbearers are Zane Scott and Alex  Kinser.

James was born on January 30, 1955 to James Walter and Paula (Lindsey) Scott in San Gabriel, California. He was united in marriage to Debora Lynn Babb on November 3, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada. James proudly served our country in the United States Navy. He owned and operated Air Works by Scott in Boyd, Texas for over 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepson, Jeremy Fincher; sister, Sheree Scott; nephew, Joshua Scott and the children’s mother, Iris Stagner.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Debbie Scott of Boyd; 2 daughters and 1 stepdaughter, Felicia Harvey and husband Xavier of Brock, Amanda “Mandy” Kinser and husband William of Springtown, and Tammy Smolinski and husband Joe of Grand Prairie; 8 grandchildren, Folee, Sage, Alex, Mark, Austin, Shelby, Justin, and Hunter; 2 brothers, Woody Scott of Decatur, Bill Scott of Cave Creek, Arizona and nephew, Zach Scott; other relatives and a host of friends.
