Boyd ~ James Harold Simpson, 93, a retired assembler for Bell Helicopter went to be with our Lord Thursday, June 14, 2012 in Collinsville, Texas.
Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Boyd with burial at 2:00 p.m. in Collinsville Cemetery, Collinsville, Texas.
Rev. Jim Hartin will officiate. Pallbearers include Dale Simpson, Zach Simpson, R.J. Simpson, Kasey Bischel, Shane Crosley, Lee Clement and David Clement.
James was born on May 16, 1919 to Richard and Pearl (Allen) Simpson in Cook County, Texas. He was united in marriage to Nelwyn Curry on March 18, 1965 in Durant, Oklahoma. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army.
James is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Alvin, William and Richard Simpson.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years, Nelwyn Simpson of Boyd; his sons, Dale Simpson and wife Frances of Azle and David Clement and wife Carol of Denison; his daughters Barbara Evans of Baytown, Vickie Farrell and husband Marion of Sherman, Becky Enderby and husband Carroll of Tioga and Darlene Bischel and husband Ken of Boyd; his 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; other family members and a host of friends.
