James "Freman" Hollingsworth

Frisco ~ Freman Hollingsworth, 79, went to be with our Lord Friday, March 4, 2022 in McKinney, Texas.

Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur with burial at Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Greg Hutchinson will officiate. Pallbearers include Patrick Birdsong, Ethan Biamont, Luke Biamont,  Brad Farish, Matt Borst, and David Anderson.

Freman was born June 17, 1942 to Jesse Franklin and Ozeunia Fay (Rowe) Hollingsworth. He was united in marriage January 7, 1964 to Mildred Jane Anderson in Ft. Worth, Texas. Freman was a retired electrical design engineer, and worked for Texas Instruments in their defense department right out of college. His division was acquired by Raytheon, and he worked for them the remainder of his career until he retired. Freman was a member at Highland Baptist Church, where he became an ordained deacon on July 13, 1975. As a servant leader, he taught Sunday school, served on the board, and participated in outreach. In his 50s, he became a member of The Gideons International and was passionate about caring for pastors, sharing his faith, and distributing Bibles. Freman was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Ozeunia Hollingsworth; his brother, Jesse Andrew Hollingsworth, and sister, Katherine Bishop.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, Jane Hollingsworth of Frisco; his daughters, Tia Biamont and husband Nathan of Frisco, and Shari Birdsong of Carrollton; 5 grandchildren, Patrick, Allison, Kristen, Ethan, and Luke; numerous family members and a host of friends.
