Chico ~ Jan M. Delgado, 74, a salesperson, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, October 17, 2012 in Decatur.
Funeral is 1 p.m. Saturday, October 20th at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Chico Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Bro. Larry Potts and Bro. Ken Hedstrom will officiate. Pallbearers include Rodrigo Delgado, Victor Monjaraz, Oscar Monjaraz, Mike Mathews, Bill Brooks, and Juneor Mancilla.
Jan was born on November 2, 1937 to William and Rhoda (Guiles) Tompkins in North Rose, New York. She was united in marriage to Jesus Delgado on July 27, 1981 in Alvord. Jan worked for Avon for 25 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Chico.
Jan is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Cindy Parker; her brother, Robert Tompkins; her twin great grandsons, Walter and Walten.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 31 years, Jesus Delgado of Chico; her daughters, Janice Mathews and husband Mike of Chico and J.J. Brooks and husband Bill of Puyallup, Washington; 8 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends.
