Jana Sue Melton

Boyd ~ Jana Sue Melton went to be with our Lord Friday, May 20, 2022 in Boyd after a short illness.

Jana was born on December 13, 1952 to John and Mary (Stokely) Boggs in Fort Worth. Jana graduated from Haltom High School in 1971. She married the love of her life Don Melton on November 15, 1985, and were together over 37 years. She was an office manager for many years, and retired from G&K Services in 1992 and AT&T in 2018. Don and Jana moved to the country in Boyd in 1995, and loved tending chickens, sitting on the porch, and her dogs. Jana was a wife, mother, Gabby to her grandchildren, sister, aunt, and dear friend to everyone who knew her. She willed be missed

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Boggs; her in-laws, Ralph and Virginia Melton; and step-sons, Jimmy and Nicholas Melton.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Don Melton of Boyd; her son, Randy Boyd and wife Lindsey; 3 grandchildren, Dustin Boyd, Isaiah Carmon, and Tyler Boyd; her brother, Jim Boggs and wife Kathy; her sister, Judy Compton; her brother-in law, Jim Melton; her brother-in-law, Earl Melton and wife Pam; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends

A memorial service celebrating her life will be at a later date.
