Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 13, at Bellevue Cemetery with Reverend Bobby Cates officiating. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 - 8 p.m. at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Honorary pallbearers include John Austin, Ron Atkinson, Larry Hornsby, Fred Lipsey, Fred Hall, and Wally Netherton.
Janice was born May 29, 1947 in Lubbock, Texas to Thomas and Andena Malone Flinn. Mrs. Goode was a native of Lubbock, Texas and a resident of Shreveport, LA for 41 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Philip Goode, Jr. and her parents.
Left behind to cherish her memory is daughter, Kathryn McCarty and husband Daniel of West Monroe, LA; son, J. Philip Goode II of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren, Madeline and Danny McCarty of West Monroe, LA; sister, Alive Brannon and husband Wayne of Decatur; nieces, Mr. and Mrs. Shane Anderson of Corpus Christi and Mr. and Mrs. Don Gross of Decatur.
