Janice (Mcgee) Hodges

Alvord ~ Janice McGee Hodges, 79, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, March 7th, 2023.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 9th, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Alvord with burial at Alvord Cemetery. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church.

Pastor Bill Cleveland will officiate. Pallbearers include Mark Pollard, Gabe Jones, Rodney St. John, Charles St. John, Paul Beard, Cody Beard, and Chris Beard.

Janice was born May 26, 1943 to Jewell Wayne and Mary Charline (McLarty) McGee in Clinton, Oklahoma. She graduated Alvord High School and was a retired heat press operator for Beads Beautiful after many years in the clothing industry. Janice was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne And Charline McGee; her son, Lenard Hodges; son-in-law, Scott Beard; special friend, Doc Barrow, and brother-in-law, Bobby St. John.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Janet Beard of Traskwood, Arkansas, and Rhonda Pollard and husband Mark of Alvord; grandchildren, David Hodges, Adrienne Hodges, Paul Beard, Cody Beard, Chris Beard, Janice Nicole Beard, and Lindsey Jones; great-grandchildren, Bryson Beard, Clayton Polston, Kloey Polston, Brynlee Beard, Kinsley Beard, Kaden Beard, Henley Jones, Robyn Jones, and Kristopher Jones; sister, Delaine St. John of Alvord; extended family members and a host of friends.
