Boyd ~ Jason McGahey, 38, an aircraft mechanic, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2012 in Decatur.
Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday, October 20th at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Boyd. No services are scheduled.
Jason was born on February 25, 1974 to Larry and Judy (Traylor) McGahey in Fort Worth. He was united in marriage to Mandi Barnett on March 17, 2012 in Decatur. Jason was an aircraft mechanic at American Airlines.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Mildred Traylor and Elbert and Estell McGahey.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Mandi McGahey of Boyd; his unborn son, Braeden Jason Wade McGahey; his parents, Larry and Judy McGahey of Boyd; his sisters, Gayla Wharton and husband Randy of Boyd and Jennifer Partin and son Zackory; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Jason McGahey Memorial Fund at First Financial Bank, 609 E. Rock Island Ave, P O Box 1988, Boyd, Texas 76023 for his unborn son Braeden Jason Wade McGahey who is due in January 2013.
