Jay Evans, Jr.

Chico~ Jay Evans, Jr., 58, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 in Decatur.

Memorial Service will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Rev. Fred Raney will officiate.

Jay was born on April 24, 1963 to Jay and Jackie (Bird) Evans in Baytown, Texas. He was a truck driver for many years. Jay was a beloved father, grandfather, and brother who will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Ronald Jackson and Jerry Jackson; his sister, and Teresa Moffitt.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Kristyl Evans and Cecil Willis of Bowie; his son, Jason Evans and wife Teela of Chico; his daughter, Haley Evans of Oklahoma; his son, Mason Evans of Chico; his grandchildren, Brilee, Makenna, Kinley, Paisley, Kamdyn, and Waylen; his sister, Sue Wilson and husband Ron of Gainesville; his brother, Bill Jackson and wife Anita of Wichita Falls; his sister, Margie Quillen and husband Danny of Little Elm; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
