Bridgeport ~ Jay Carl Gibbons, 77, went to be with our Lord Thursday, February 6, 2020 in Bridgeport.
Memorial Service is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Pastor Rick Cooper will officiate.
Jay was born on September 28, 1942 to Arthur and Hazel (Henry) Gibbons in Hinton Township, Michigan. He was united in marriage to Betty (Payne) Gibbons on February 22, 2008 in Bridgeport.
Jay proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a “Jack of all Trades” as a handyman throughout the area.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 11 years, Betty Gibbons of Bridgeport; his grand-daughter, Felicia Misner of Bridgeport; his great grandson, Brayden; best friend and constant companion, Buddy; and a host of friends.
