Boyd ~ Jay Yarbrough, 71, a retired dry waller, went to be with our Lord Sunday, June 22, 2014 in Decatur.
Memorial service is 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Christian~Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Boyd.
Jay was born on March 4, 1943 to Thomas and Thelma (Lankston) Yarbrough in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. He was united in marriage to Dorothy A. Henson on February 7, 1964 in Hurst, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 50 years, Dorothy Yarbrough of Boyd; his daughter, Lisa Callahan of Boyd; his sons, Jesse Yarbrough and wife Penny of Kinston, Washington and Tommy Yarbrough and wife Stefani of Bedford; his grandchildren, Lauren, Crystal, Tessa, Garrett, Megan, Jessica, Daniel, Jamie, Brittany and Dillon; 7 great grandchildren; his brother, Wilson Barker of Texas; his sisters, Jeanette Duhon of Beaumont and Shirley Kelley of Sour Lake; other family members and a host of friends.
