J C Kime

October 13, 1927 — November 22, 2015

Boyd ~ J C Kime was born October 13, 1927 in Perry Oklahoma to Charlie and Lillie (Klinglesmith) Kime and left this earth for a better place on November 22, 2015 in Decatur, Texas.  He lived in Perry until he joined the U. S. Navy in 1945.  He married Sue Ivy on June 13, 1960 in Gainesville, Texas.

Memorial service is 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Boyd.  Family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Reverend Mike Wheat will officiate.  Pallbearers include Chuck Whatley, Joe Ben Whatley, Junior Whatley, Tim Fleming, Dickey Cundiff and Greg Fuller.

J C worked for several companies before finally owning his own business, Kime Drill Stem Testers.  After 50 years in the oilfield, he moved to the Lake of the Arbuckles where he and his wife started and ran Kime Grocery and Café.

In 1990 he went back to work in the oilfield as a salesman for Can-Ok Oil Tools in Chickasha, Oklahoma.  He retired from there in 2001 and moved to Texas, where he inherited the Begley family and many friends.

J. C. was the biggest OU fan in the world and enjoyed showing off his newest OU hat or t-shirt, especially to a Longhorn fan.  He never met a stranger and if you met him, he gave you no choice but to love him.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sue Kime; his children, Jayme DeClark of Oklahoma City, OK, Bruce Kime of Stillwater, OK, Jayci and Ben Begley of Boyd, TX.  Grandchildren Steven & Katelyn Stands, Kaylea Thomas and Mariah Begley; great grandchildren Jaidan, Chance and Kaiyah Stands, his extended Begley family, all his girls at Senior Care, his roommate Randy Allen, and many nieces, nephews and great friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 1 sister.

The family would like to thank the entire staff of Senior Care in Decatur for allowing J. C. to be "Honorary Director" of the Center and loving him as their own family.
